The time has come where my freedom comes above my carreer. A journey started at 14 years old, when I left my home to pursue a goal with the destination unknown. After playing more than 407 times in orange and defending many club colors, this road as a volleyball player has come to an end. Things I am proud of accomplishing are winning the Champions League, playing 2 Olympics, meeting my wonderful friends + new family and being the first black woman to play for the Dutch national team.

With a smile on my face and a heart full of satisfaction, I want to thank you all: my family, friends, (national)teammates and fans who have supported me throughout this whole ride. Feeling rich because of experiencing many countries, cultures and people all around the world. I could not have done all of this without you. What a rollercoaster it has been. Wish you all a lot of luck, success and love.
